When the Glass Slipper is Shattered
Remember the glass slipper? The one that she lost?
Remember he searched for her whatever the cost?
Well he sent the Duke but what does it matter,
The Duke would trip and fall, and the slipper would shatter.
The only hope the Prince had seemed like it was gone,
'Till out of her pocket, the other slipper was drawn.
When hope goes to pieces and disappointment creeps in,
When you want to give up because you know you can't win,
Remember you can't have hope with just you,
There must be another point for hope to be true.
But remember YOU pick in what your hope is seated,
It should not be a slipper... or a prince...
But only the One in whom all promises are completed.
"For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
The LORD will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold
From those who walk uprightly.
O LORD of hosts,
Blessed is the man who trusts in You!"
Psalm 84:11-12
"For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory."
2 Corinthians 1:20
